    Default Wisconsin weather.... brrrrrrrr

Tomorrow is opening fishing weekend, and our area lakes still have ice on them and some (not so smart people) still try to drive their 4 wheelers on the lake. This is not a good start to our summer (well suppose to be the start of summer... all though it still acts like winter) season. Then the heart of the fishing area gets 8+ inches of snow yesterday... I know my DH canceled his fishing trip...like he said.. he should not have to wear a snowmobile suit to fish in... what a strange year..

We're from NE Wisconsin, but are currently in Oklahoma. They had a freeze here last night. I'm thinking that 61 degrees will be wonderful today--locals are wearing their winter coats and scarves! Must be that they have thinner blood..............

We were so lucky yesterday... we were on the dryer edge of the snowstorm and got just a trace... not the 18" just 20 miles from here. But today, we've had at least 3" so far and it's still coming down.

I'm down in S.E. WI. No snow, but lots of flooding after all the rain. Loved it when it got warmer, but now back to cold and damp. Glad we didn't get the snow. Can never tell what opening day will be like!

I'm way down here in LA, and it's getting in the 40's tonight! Unheard of in May! Had to switch from AC to heat again today!

I live in Adk Mtns of northern NY. I thought spring would never come here but last week has been beautiful. In only hope that snow isn't coming our way! I can definitely relate to the late arrival of spring.

It sure has been a wacky spring!! It's sad about the fishing openers! Huge impact on the economy of many areas. It's not just the loss from fishing, but all the people who install docks, store and service boats, and run the mom and pop resorts!! UGH!!!

My husband went on a motorcycle trip this weekend - it was iffy about going as we had snow on Monday! He is now home safe and sound and had a great time even if it was cold!

We lived on a lake when I was growing up and my dad always made us fish on the first day of fishing season - this was in Edmonds WA. I remember some very cold and wet opening days. My best friend and I would go out in our little row boat - one year my dad had to come down to the end of the lake to rescue us, but we had fun.
