Default Pass Alongs

Three years ago while caring for my elderly parents during their final weeks, I worked on a little Christmas quilt to help myself cope. They died in January and February, and I had to finish the quilt in the spring. Displayed, but never used it. Today I was able to pass it along to a neighbor who has had to go into an assisted living (locked unit). She was happy to get it though I doubt she will remember who it's from. It doesn't matter. It was a joy to give it to her and the memory of how it brightened her face and her little room will remain with me through the holidays and every time I think of it. Merry Christmas, everyone.

What a lovely thought. I'm sure she will feel loved when using it. (make sure someone puts her name on it too).

Fayeberry, may your heart be warmed and a smile put on your face each time you think of her with this quilt, especially during this time of year. Very thoughtful and loving for you to have done this.

that's the nice part about giving... the way it makes you feel whether you get 'credit' for it later or not.
