Default DGS learned to text already - he's 2 1/2

He learned to call Grandpa when he was less than a year old. He would call and 'talk' - well, listen to Grandpa babble. I'm so jealous... (it's ok the girls call me) He calls often and wants Grandpa to talk. Now he 'reads' books to Grandpa. Yesterday he swiped DDs cell phone and tried to call Grandpa. Some how he managed to send a text message for Grandpa to call 911 - After checking with DD to see if things were ok - no answer - hhhhmmmm Grandpa called SIL. DGS also called his Daddy with the same message. Grandpa did call 911 just incase... Finally, Daddy got through to home and then figured they better head off 911 - it was just the 2 1/2 year old trying to call Grandpa to tell him about his 'new tent'.

Picture of DGS with his man cave tent - all kinds of boy toys in there - what a character... and yes there is a chicken peeking over the fence.

Kids are learning so young these days to use technology! My kids called 911 when they were little and playing with the phone!! I am glad all was well.

Do your GKs call you? How young do they start? What do you talk about?

My youngest Grandchild - a boy- will not talk on the phone - any phone. He wants an Iphone or smart phone only to play games. His Mom won't go along with that. He plays all kinds of video games, he is in the gifted program and reads at a college level, very smart kid. He is becoming an avid WWII expert.

Your Grandson is very cute, I love those red curls. I would keep the phones out of reach.

Sounds like my 2yo DGS....He has a fit over iPhones and can already play games and locate the camera/pictures icon and scroll thru them. The worst thing he's done is call some company and placed a '$60 order". It was NOT a company his mom had called. No one has figured that one out yet!! My DIL was able to cancel the order and she had "thought" she has her financial info locked on it!

He also gets mad when he can't use his fingers to scroll the screen on my laptop!! His mama has an iPad!!
