Piligrams

My grandson Jaden who is almost 6, was talking about the Indians and Piligrams. DH and I are laughing silently. Jaden asked us who the Piligrams were. we said it's Pilgrims and then Julian , who is 8, said they're people that ride horses and don't like electricity. We saw some in Indiana! I said they're not Pilgrims-they're Amish! then I told them who the pilgrims were. It was so funny that I just had to tell you. you just never know what's going to come out of their mouths!

We were in a craft store one day and my grandson was about 4 and he said out loud "Mama why do those women have coffee things on their heads" and we looked and they were laughing so hard they were crying. He was talking about coffee filters for the little caps and they said they had never heard that one.

That reminds me of the time when my daughter was four years old. It was almost Thanksgiving so we read a book about the first Thanksgiving, complete with Indians and Pilgrims. A few days later we were at the grocery store and she was a little ahead of me and went around the corner. All of a suddne " Mommy, Mommy come quick I see some Pilgrims" they were nuns in their habit and they really got a laugh out of that.
