beautiful! we have large and small ---dark green, sorta black & white large ones, then small little reds, burnt orange, yellowish and brilliant, shimery blues & greens ...but, sadly, no pinks.

Wow, that is amazing. I had never seen a pink one either so you prompted me to google it. The species common name is roseate skimmer. apparently they are common but I have never ever seen one. You captured a male and wow what a great photo. Here is a link that tells about them

The dragonfly is beautiful! Maybe this photo can be an inspiration for a picture quilt?

Reminds me of the pick chickens wandering around a Portland Oregon park.

What a beauty. The only ones I see around here are either black or green. Maybe i need to slow down and take a better look at the things around me.

nice photo. I live near Houston, TX, and have seen pink ones numerous times. I am always amazed at the many colors in the dragonfly world. I've taken pictures of blue, black, green, aqua, gold (glittery) and orange dragonflies. They fascinate me.

Never seen one before. A couple of years ago I saw the biggest one I've ever seen; it must have been around six inches long. I did take a photo (which I can't find) but there wasn't anything to set a scale for size so it really didn't matter. Now I will have to look for a giant PINK one.

Omg!!! I'm just getting ready to machine embroider a sweat shirt with dragonflies as the main focal point. I have never seen a purple and pink one either. I was only going to put greens and blues, need to Google for pictures. My first thought was, he all set for Easter!!!
