Pink Firetruck!
My daughter and I went to our local Relay for Life event a few weeks ago as spectators. She is also a member of our local volunteer fire department so she had heard about the county's new PINK FIRETRUCK but I hadn't. Well here are some pictures of the new truck purchased by our county to use as a support vehicle to raise awareness to "fighting breast cancer". It will be used at many different events and was also in the parade laps at the NASCAR race this weekend in Charlotte.
It is not a working firetruck now but it once was. If you look on top of the truck you can see the
"potato type gun" to shoot out t-shirts like the pink one pictured at certain events.
I'm kinda proud our county FD has chosen to do this!

Thanks for sharing! This idea of the pink fire truck started out in Phoenix, AZ. There are now several FD around the country with them. As the founder of Convoy for a Cure - USA, I raise money for Breast Cancer education & help fund research through BreastCancer.org. I've been following these trucks for some time & even have had one or two in the convoys. You may also find cement trucks painted like this also, as they're becoming quite popular.
