Default Freezing rain and baby blankets

We had a winter storm pass through our area today leaving the trees covered with a beautiful but dangerous coat of ice. I didn't leave the house. Why should I when I had the some very cute flannel to make 3 cute baby blankets for my soon to arrive granddaughter. I used my featherweight that I inherited from my MIL. I even quilted one with glow in the dark thread! I think my DIL and son will be so excited!

I'm glad we didn't get it down here in the Little Rock area, but snow and ice days are perfect for sewing! Congrats on the anticipated arrival of your granddaughter

Congratulations on the new baby. I have four and they are wonderful. I was supposed to be going to St. Louis tomorrow. They already got what you did and we're getting it now.

I purchased the glow in the dark thread (Coats & Clark) at McKee's in Green Forest, AR. I got it a couple of years ago and haven't used it until now. I am going to use it to quilt an "Eye Spy" quilt I am making for the son of our current Habitat House family.

Great way to send a day. And you got baby blankets made too. At least we did not get the freezing rain, we got the SNOW. 10 inces of snow, and I spent the day sewing and quilting too. What a great day.
