I used to cook mine without scoring them. They were best in potato salad cooked whole. My DFIL always wanted his tomatoes peeled and my DMIL used this method for them, only boiling the tomatoes for just a minute or so. When he passed on, she was overheard to say "no more peeling tomatoes!" :lol:

I've been in Idaho for 30 years and have never peeled my potatoes like that!

Lots of peaches and tomatoes with that technique, but no potatoes.
