Hello - Just got out last tablecloth from last fall - very pretty with pumpkins and leaves appliqued and it has candle wax on it. I was able to get the wax off but still has dk red color there. Any help as to how to get this off ? I was stumped and then I thought the QB should have lots of experience...awaiting replys.

Thank you -

If the wax melted on the table cloth, there is probably residue of the wax still in there. Get a brown paper bag and iron on the spot to see if it will absorb it. Good luck.

Be sure to protect whatever surface you iron on.

I've used a paper towel and ironed it. The wax will melt onto the paper towel. Works great.

please let us know how you make out - you may have to use a couple of paper towels repeating the process until it all is absorbed. Sending happy thoughts your way!

I did paper towels (2) and pressed with a hot dry iron, worked great ! The paper towel sucked up the wax and the color !

ok -- I tried the paper bag and then the paper towels got out the wax and lightened the red color. But then a thought from my aunt. Just applique another leaf over the red that doesn't come out ! Tadaaa !
