Portland, Maine

My DH and I are heading up north for a quiet weekend and we will be in the Portland, Maine area.....anyone know any quilt shops that I MUST see
Lucky for me, I have a very patient and understanding husband. Poor man has been dragged into every quilt/fabric store we pass by.
Thanks for any suggestions

Sew Portland 306 Warren Ave. Portland
Cotton Weeds Quilt Shop 541 US Route 1 Freeport, Me. A lovely shop and worth the ride up. Only about 20 mins. Then if you go right into Freeport, it is a lovely town and that is where LL Bean is also.
There is a new Mardens in Portland and one in Scarborough. It is a surplul and salvage store with great buys on fabrics...alot of them brand names too. It is a store that is ever changing and you don't know what goodies you will find.
Have fun!!

Thanks. We'll be going through there in June. While DH spends his day at LL Bean, I'll have something to do. How many canoes can you look at??? I know, how many fat quarters can you look at?

I apologize for the error on the Portland Mardens. Scarborough isn't far from there.
Cotton Weeds is quite a distance from LLBean, cannot walk between the two though they are in the same town. You can go across the street to the branch of LLBean with homegoods, foods, and cooking stuff.
