Just like that....one big poof and a pow and a spark outside and the power went out.

So I'm on battery back-up for this computer....probably won't last more than an hour.

Guess I better go light some candles.

snowed earlier today...got about 4inches in a couple hours...and then the rain started. It was really wierd downpours of rain and ice rain.

I knew if it kept up that the power lines were gonna snap.

I was sitting in my living room with just the computer on and I saw and heard the big boom and light flash outside my house. The power pole across the street from me cut out.

everyone on one side of the block is without power...across the street, they have power...just my luck.

The trees limbs covered with ice look so pretty.

Have you notified the power company? Our whole street was out for over a day and everyone thought everyone else had called. Electric company didn't even know the transformer was out. When they were finally notified the power was back on within the hour. Tech told me they would rather have multiple reports than outages.

Oh yeah, that's the first thing I always do. They weren't able to tell me how long it would be out...I'm suppose to call back in a few hours for an update.

Ours just blinked off and on a couple of times. We aren't that far from you. I'm in Brooklyn. Hope your power is on soon.

This is not good. Make sure that the power company knows.
We were told that when they are informed of a power outage then they know how many people to send out to fix it. We did not lose our power; but afew weeks ago this happened in several cities near Indianapolis.

Be safe! We'll trust that it comes on soon!

Jenny:)
