So very precious and candid.
This would make a nice addition to the article in the unit's letter about returning troops. Is there a way you might want to offer it to them for publication?

Marvelous family, and please let him know how much the rest of us appreciate all the time he's been cheated of from his family.
He's a true American and we're all proud of him.

That look on the baby's face is priceless. She looks like she's saying to herself "Good Grief, who's this big guy kissing my Momma?"
I thought the same thing. Thank them for me too.

Sending my thanks to your son for his service: his wife for standing by; his darling daughter and you for being there. God Bless America and all who serve.

Thank you for sharing this special picture. The look on the baby's face is priceless. We are still waiting for one more step-grandson to return from his fifth deployment.
The picture reminds me of when my father came home on leave from WWII. He picked me up when we met him at the train station and scared me to death. He was a really big man. I told the neighbors my "Mother's Husband" was coming home! He had been gone since I was 1 1/2 and this was 4-5 years later.
Please tell your family a really big THANK YOU.
