DH and I have time off work for a quick 5 day trip. We are headed to IL to visit some friends we have not seen in several years, then to stop and see a male classmate of mine that I have not seen since (o.k. I'm aging myself here) 1975 when he graduated. My DH friended him of facebook and my classmate does business plans and grant proposals. We are going to stop in to talk to him about different ideas we have for our own business.

Then we are headed to our original destination - Chicago to visit DH's sister. She has cancer (2 1/2 years with it and it is now growing some in her liver.) I hope to get to Navy Pier while there as I love it there.

Not sure we will hit any fabric stores (We are a week late for the show in Chicago :( )

However I am taking two wall hangings with me to hand quilt, and one baby blanket to finish the hand work on the binding. As soon as I get off here to go measure for, make and put the first side of the binding on.....

Oh, we leave next Thursday, so I will be here for a few days, but have to work most of them.

Have a safe and wonderful trip :!:

Sorry to hear about your SIL hope everything turns out fine.

I am not going on vacation until July but already I'm trying to figure out what to bring with me.

Sounds like you have enough to keep you busy. :) :)

Have a save trip.. Hug to your SIL. Time is short for liver cancer, 6 months at the most. Mother-in-law past away with liver cancer. Thank goodness hers was not painful.

I actually graduated in '74. The man we are meeting was a year behind me.

They have not given her a time frame except that when they found that the spot had grown they gave her options and told her she had 6 months to decide which options to go with - chemo, meds or nothing. I thought that was a bit odd to let her wait that long to decide.
