We're going to write a story together. You may write 2 or 3 sentences MAXIMUM. Or only a few words if you wish. You need to leave a sentence hanging so the next person can finish the thought and take the story in a possibly new direction. I'll start. Here goes.


It was a tiring day on the farm and Melanie decided to forgo the chores and get cracking on a new quilt. She grabbed her fabric, rotary cutter and pattern and started to..............

Cry because she couldn't find her cutting mat.

Low and behold there it was right under the

giant cabbage. It was a bumper crop this year! Now she had her mat and she..

material on the

chair where the cat slept on it.

Just as the she was preparing to start cutting out her new quilt, the telephone rings.....

oops, everyone is getting in on this story.

Melanie was confused and

Now she started to think, how.....

Could I ever think of a unique pattern fit for a museum? I know, I will make..........

a trip to my LQS - I saw some .....

incredible fabric that would just

go perfect with that orange paisley my dog

drooled all over.....

so she decided to have some lunch and think about the pattern that

would be perfect except the cat ran off with it b/c he knew she would be tied up with a new project and wouldn't get

all the attention he...

deserved! So off she went again to the LQS, but this time...

she meet up with a friend and they decided

to have an ice cream cone before they

went on their way down the hall of

notions. They only needed...

each other to bounce creative idea off of and

was thrilled when they found just the right quilt pattern.
It was ....

Challenging, and yet

so exciting that she decided to call her....

cat and tell him to find someone else to be his servant for a few months while

she attended to that fabric the dog drooled on. Heading down the stairs she suddenly.....

Well this story just took a turn for the worse..... :shock:

luckily she had her friends from the quilt board to depend on and she posted a quick message typing with her toes...Help she wrote and

In the mean time, the cat & dog both have very micheivous looks upon their faces.

The dog drags from deep under the bed a piece of amazing fabric that

took outside and buried in the back yard with...

no wallet to buy anything else or car keys to drive anywhere, the husband decides its best to

keep peace in the house and learn to piece quilts.
