FYI - Anyone watch Oprah's new channel OWN? "Enough Already! with Peter Walsh" is on Monday @ 8 p.m. This Monday 1/31, Peter helps a woman with her Quilting Clutter. To bad we can't all be around to help take some of her stuff off her hands! LOL

Oh wow! My grandma had it all - that's why I'm trying to sell off all the inherited fabric... before I become the next quilting hoarder!

The show just started January 3rd, but I keep forgetting to watch/tape it. My sister called to tell me about the quilting lady.

Every few years I have to de clutter and just let it go or I would be overwhelmed with quilting stash. I've learned to feel good about seeing my fabric being used for donation quilts instead of sitting in a bin. You have to take the fist step to let a few yards of really nice fabric you had forever go. It has really helped me enjoy being generous.

The hardest part is doing it the first time...it's getting a "little" easier for me.

I just checked my TV Guide, guess we don't get it here. Coudn't find anything about it. Shoot!!!

OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) used to be Discovery Health channel. Too bad - sounds like an interesting show.

Bummer... I really liked the Discovery Health channel.

they have some of the same programs, plus a liberal dose of Dr. Phil

I finally found it listed but, it says it is about 20 years of clutter.. Could this be it?? I am going to tape it just in case. Thanks for the help.

I have Direct TV. Channel 279 is the OWN Channel. Hope you have this channel..............

You can go to Oprah.com and put in your location and it will tell you what the number of the channel is in your area.

Is oxygen and own the same thing ?
I went to oprah.com and doesn't have my cable provider.

Not the same channel - Oprah had shows on Oxygen then bought her own network and named it after herself OWN.

I wish I got the OWN channel. Guess I could up my satallite package then change it back next month. hehe

Oooh I'm definitely going to watch this! I think it will be interesting to see how Peter helps her work through getting rid of this "clutter", especially if she is still an active quilter. Maybe I'll pick up some pointers too, since I definitely have issues getting rid of my own quilting clutter built up over the last 10-15 years, LOL.

This is a lady VERY active in Quilts Of Valor. It should be a great show. She is really a wonderful person and has a huge amount of quilts.

try HULU on the computer see if it is there. it might take a couple of weeks to get the episode but you might find it there. you can see if his show is sent there. and sometimes the "networks" have episodes on their online pages.

Thanks - was a BOM I did at my LQS back about 5 years ago. I made 11 of the 12 squares and then put it into my own layout. If you look closely you can see that I cut 2 of the blocks in half and put them in the 4 corners.

I looked for the pattern because someone else asked, but I couldn't find them. I was a new quilter back then and didn't have enough sense to keep the patterns...now I know better...LOL.
