Ice and snow, roads are not safe. We are not equippe for ice or snow we get so little of it. However it has covered most of Georgia. I do not have to be anywhere so I am staying in.

Airwick156 01-11-2011 08:00 AM

Southern Oregon here. No snow today, but very very cold. So cold that the hair on my shaven legs have gotten their own fur coats, ear muffs, and mittens on. We had 7 inches of snow last week and some of it is still on the ground and on the roofs. Snow is once again predicted in the next few days. Hopefully with no accumulation. I couldn't imagine living somewhere that gets 'FEET' of accumulation. I would turn into a human ice cube. :)

Cold here in Idaho...7 degrees this morning but with wind chill, colder...snow/rain tomorrow predicted....

amandasgramma 01-11-2011 08:03 AM

We're at 14 degrees (8:00 am here) and we have a "snow sky" as I call it....snow is predicted...but only inches not feet!

pester 01-11-2011 08:05 AM

I'm in MN and we have had snow on the ground for so long I don't really notice it anymore. LOL I just look out side and am like OH its snowing again.

Tink's Mom 01-11-2011 08:10 AM

We are under advisory, but....not as bad as Indiana. We woke up to a few inches today and supposed to keep snowing for the rest of the week.

dpparris 01-11-2011 08:11 AM

It's 37 here right now and a light mist of rain. We had ice yesterday. Tonight they say it will be around 20. I hate cold weather ( it hurts my joints). Bring on the summer (and swimming pool)!

pheasantduster 01-11-2011 08:11 AM

Expecting 10" at least here in southern Massachusetts. Will start at midnight and continue all day Wednesday - but us Yankees can handle it!

mltquilt 01-11-2011 08:18 AM

Cold in Lewisville, TX. Snow on Sunday then an Artic blast is coming down. Should be 15 degrees on Wednesday night. This is really the start of our winter.

Melinda in Tulsa 01-11-2011 09:12 AM

In south Tulsa it is currently 15 degrees with a wind chill of 3. We have about an inch of snow on the ground. Snow is no biggie but the cold....oh my, it's bone chilling.

lots2do 01-11-2011 02:45 PM

It's dampish cold right now (just went to the mailbox) and we are expecting the snow to start tonight. 5-8 inches on one channel, more expected according to another channel. I'd love a snow day, greedy, yes, but DS had dental surgery today and I'd love to stay home with him another day.

leiladylei54 01-11-2011 02:55 PM

Almost 1:00pm....76 degrees, clear blue skies but nasty storm supposed to be moving in tomorrow.

Jennifer22206 01-11-2011 02:59 PM

we're supposed to get 6-12 inches of snow tonight into tomorrow.

jljack 01-11-2011 03:01 PM

Well, I live in lucky Central California...right now it's about 56 deg, cloudy, zero wind. We have had this kind of weather for about a week, even down to 49 deg during the day. We had a little sun peek through yesterday, but went away in a short time. At night it gets down into the mid 30's. So, yes, CA does have some areas that get real Winter (for a temperate climate zone), except for snow, which you all in the east and north can keep. Californians do NOT know how to drive in snow (except for the mountain people!), and they tend to muck things up when they have to try. :-) So stay warm and dry, and we will enjoy your pictures.

So. Calif. was only 65 today but tomorrow is to be a bit warmer 72...we'll wait and see, don't count too much on the weather reporters.

vjengels 01-12-2011 05:19 AM

Here in Denver, we have ' Stock Show ' weather; translate that to mean bitter cold with snow on the ground. Thank goodness it only sticks around for a couple weeks a year, otherwise I might as well have stayed in Michigan!

pheasantduster 01-12-2011 05:30 AM

Thank you for your dedication and service brushandthimble - Those is health care are not appreciated enough.

las vegas, high of 57, 36 now. sunny today, humidity right now 57% which my arthritis is not happy with. people here in winter clothes!! moved here from eastern washington not quite three years ago and this is NOT winter weather!

Maralyn 01-12-2011 05:47 AM

I heard that only Florida is the only state of the 48 continental states does not have snow on the ground at this time. So if we assume (!) that Alaska has snow and Hawaii doesn't that makes 48 of the 50 states. Phew!

0 degrees here in Sioux City this morning.

QuiltinMama 01-12-2011 05:49 AM

Hello from snowy NJ!! We have 7 inches outside in Southern NJ.
22 degrees with wind chill temp of 12 degrees!!

Right outside of Buffalo NY. What bad weather?! Welcome to winter in Buffalo! The roads up here are terrible but other than that; just another winter day in Western New York!
