I have 2-29 year old daughters -when you learn how PLEASE let me know!

terriluedtke 06-22-2010 12:16 PM

For my bucket list, I just did one the other day. I have pancreatic cancer so decided to organize and prioritizr so many aspects of my life!

1. To travel and see the parts of the world I missed the first time around.
2. To watch my mother celebrate a great triumph in her life
3. To reunite my family and spend one day together
4. To forgive someone that can never be heartwhole
5. To find the perfect day with the man I love.
That's all for now. I don't want much. A cure for cancer would be nice....but such is life! Take care

Connie Merritt 06-22-2010 01:27 PM

1.) To remember to say "thank you" to each morning.
2.) I sit and enjoy the moment entirely.
3.) To try and walk in another's shoes w/ prayer.
4.) To thank my sons and grandson for the love I can give
to them.
5. To be happy for who I am today, at this moment. and I
I am.

It is the gift of feeling the freedom of the elderly.

I so hear you ,another fibro and chronic fatigue person here. I have gotten so use to being tired and in pain I don't even count it anymore. I just suck it up and keep going as long as I can then collapse. I hope you feel better soon.

5. To find my soulmate. (He hasn't shown up yet, so I don't have much hope for this, but it can still happen.)

I'm sorry to say, I don't have a bucket list. Just wish that I could do things that I did when I was in my 20s or 30s.

juneayerza 06-22-2010 10:12 PM

Stitchinwitch,

Fresno has been very cool this year, we have had the nicest weather you could imagine here. However, it is starting to warm up finally, in the 90's today.

GladGrams 06-23-2010 01:31 AM

1. Move back to the states to be with children and grands full time.
2. Drive a race car on a real race track
3. Hot air balloon ride
4. Piggyback skydive
5. Spend 1 year in Israel (studying + visiting)

teacherbailey 06-23-2010 02:35 AM

For all of you who said "hot air balloon ride"....they are amazing! I took one a couple of years ago in southwest Colorado ----- Pagosa Springs, I think. As a terrified airplane flier, I almost chickened out, but they say that balloon flight is very very different, and they are RIGHT! You don't feel the breezes, as you are "one with the breezes"....and then we helped chase down the next flight, roll up the balloon and pack it back in the trailer, before champagne and muffins for brunch, and a talk about hot air balloon history and why champagne is such a big part of it! If I can do it, anybody can....

DONK 06-23-2010 10:09 AM

1. To go to Gettysburg and be able to walk the battle field.

2. To tour PA Dutch country.

3. To see my youngest married and happy.

4. To go to Ireland on an extended stay.

5. To go back to Canada where the people are the nicest anywhere.

Connie Merritt 06-23-2010 02:07 PM

I love Canada also. The first time I was there it was winter and everyone was friendly, smiling, and greeting us. We dined on a patio while the snow was lightly falling and we loved it. We went to a ski resort called HoneyPot, it had an ice bar and we skied. We toured the areas, Casa Loma, I even sat on the throne (in fact a few of us did, we were nurses in the 1960's). I have been there a few more times and would love to visit more often. I know this was about the bucket list, however, Canada caught my eye. So here is my thoughts. And for you many Good thoughts.

granniebj 06-23-2010 03:07 PM

1. To give everyone I love something cool that I made myself.
2. To travel out west.
3. To get my house organized and easier to clean.
4. To see my son and daughters find someone great to love.
5. Spend more time with my family doing fun things.

Lostn51 06-23-2010 05:34 PM

My bucket list:

1: Ride a custom built Chopper across the country for a month or so
2: To race a car on the Bonneville Salt Flats and make it into the 300mph club
3: To own one of each of the makes of Vintage Sewing Machines that were made during the "Sewing Machine Wars"
4: To go to Israel and walk in my Brothers footsteps
5: To make the important people in my life happy and know that they are loved

I know the first one will be done in a few months and the second one will be happening in the future sometime soon I hope. The rest I will have to work on, but it is hard to pick a top 5 on something like this.

Billy

1. Watch both of my children graduate from college.
2. Move to Alaska
3. Buy my mother a long arm
4. Get my Masters Degree
5. Work for The National Geographic

Sassy913 06-23-2010 07:20 PM

1- Become self-employed in a home-based business by Dec 2010.
2- To move closer to my daughter (AZ to NJ or PA) by Aug 2011.
3- Become healthier and more agile and physically fit. I want to be viable for much longer than my female family counterparts have.
4- Purchase a 25' RV so I travel with my pets whenever I choose.
5- Connect with more of my dear friends from years gone by that I have been out of touch with. This I am actively doing right now.

Many more mini-goal for my bucket, but these above are my major focus for the coming year.

ohioquilter 06-23-2010 09:09 PM

I think that it comes from the term of "kicking the bucket" when one passes away, hence the term bucket list or your list of things to do before you pass away.

ohioquilter 06-23-2010 09:10 PM

it comes from the term of kicking the bucket when you die, so it is you bucket list of the list of things you want to do before you die.

sorry somehow I did this post two times. whoops! can tell I am new to this board

8gr8kids 06-25-2010 03:59 AM

A list of things you would like to do before you kick the bucket.
