The Bucket List is the name of a movie where two men who are dying make a list of the things they want to do before there life ends. Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman play the part.

2. Scuba dive with my son.
3. Hot air balloon ride

cjomomma 06-20-2010 05:18 PM

Ok let me try this, there are so many things I want to do.

1. To fly in an air plane. Have severe anxiety over this.

2. To be able to visit Hanford and Selma Ca and see family one more time or more. Especially before DH's DGM passes.

3. To see my children get married and have kids of their own and their kids have kids.

4. To own a house of our own before I'm too old to enjoy it.

5. to have my own sewing room with everything that I need to sew.

Shall I say this is just a drop in the bucket.

there is a movie call Bucket List.... It's a great movie. worth renting to view it. Two men make up a list of what they want to do before they die...they are in the hospital...one is rich, one isn't... so that's where it comes from... watch the movie.

Jingle 06-20-2010 06:16 PM

Only one question... how to narrow it down to 5!!
1. Finish refurbishing our historical old house complete with landscaping.
2. Buy another sailboat and take a few more long sailing trips.
3. Finish my UFOs and make all the quilts that I have planned in my head!
4. Travel everywhere on my wish list, which includes going back to Europe.
5. Build our retirement home on our property on Lake Huron and my husband and I maintaining a level of good health so we can enjoy it!

stitchinwitch 06-21-2010 03:06 AM

Oh myyyy - when I am reading all of your lists, it is a reminder of what else I could have put on my list - heck - it probably is up to 100 now!

Barbm 06-21-2010 06:56 AM

I have so many things to accomplish before I kick the bucket... here's a few....

1. get a minnie winnie and travel- all over for a month after we retire. just go and go and go. dine in little family diners and shop all the local antique stores, just for fun.

2. buy a few more collector cars- yellow Metropolitan convertible, '70 Trans Am convertible white with blue interior, '02 Trans Am (last year made) yellow convertible, the list goes on.

3. get my house clean and organized to my liking and keep it that way.

4. go on vacation with my bffs and sisters. I've always wanted to do this.

5. mend broken family ties.

Beachbound 06-21-2010 09:56 AM

Sooo hard, but I'll try....
1. To see each of the 50 states. I have almost done that except for the great northwest & I really want to get up there!
2. To master curves in quilting. I want to make a double wedding ring.
3. To master FMQ.
4. To make a difference in some one's life & know it.
5. To love as deeply as possible without worry of hurt feeling, he said/she said arguments, to give without thought of getting back.

Marjpf 06-21-2010 10:44 AM

1. See every country in the world.
2. See my kids happily secure on their own.
3. Do all the projects I have in my head (especially the one's I already have the fabric for, just not the time).
4. Learn to fly a plane.
5. and like Gramakitten - never have to worry about money.

thismomquilts 06-21-2010 10:55 AM

Here is mine:
1. Have my children all raised and doing God's work for their lives.
2. Travel (home - all states but Hawaii (have no desire to go there - ever) and abroad - Italy, Norway, Switzerland, Ireland in particular)
3. Have enough time and money to quilt/sew/craft as much as I can.
4. Follow God's leading with our aquaponics systems - who knows? maybe He'll lead us to Italy, Norway, Switzerland and Ireland? :)
5. Be content with whatever I have, whomever I'm with, wherever I am.

La Guera 06-21-2010 12:46 PM

Hi
Are you originally from Fresno? My son lives in Fresno.
Why do you want to go to fresno one more time?
(just curious)

CanadianLoon 06-21-2010 04:41 PM

All of the above!!

Lisanne 06-21-2010 08:21 PM

1. To lose all my excess weight and be fit.
2. To own a house with land where I can have a garden and several fruit trees.
3. To see England/Scotland (and many other places, but the others aren't part of the bucket list Top 5).
4. To make some kind of major contribution that improves people's lives (could be a scientific discovery, an invention, or a business product or service, just something that really helps people in some way).
5. To find my soulmate. (He hasn't shown up yet, so I don't have much hope for this, but it can still happen.)

It's understandable, and there is a genuine risk with flying. But the vast, vast majority of flights go just fine.

For now, start by just thinking about it. Maybe daydream about it, because you control the daydream. Enjoy the daydream, the plane smoothly rolling down the runway, then just the slightest angle upward and you're off the ground! Soon after, you have the coolest view of the city or town, and soon after that, you're above the clouds and can really see the heavens. Eventually, they will show a movie or maybe some short shows, and except for the shortest flights, they'll bring around beverages and snacks. Not long after they come around to take your cups, it's time to land, and you are rolling smoothly towards the gate of an airport in another city.

When you do feel ready to make your first flight, choose a fairly short one, like two hours or less. Pick a larger plane (you may have to go to a larger airport to avoid the puddle jumpers), because they fly the smoothest. And just enjoy it!

damaquilts 06-22-2010 04:56 AM

1. To have a place of my own again. I have to live with my DD and it has really strained our relationship.
2. Visit Ireland
3. Have enough money and space to take in dogs no one else wants especially the old ones and the broken ones.
4.See my DD in a good relationship
5. See my DGD get her wish of being a herpetologist. (money for college)

That's just a few but today its the top five.

daniellern76 06-22-2010 06:22 AM

1. See my children grown and happily married with children of their own.
2. Move South, but take my parents with us! (Oh and have my children all buy homes in the same neighborhood as us when they are grown up!)
3. Retire and travel with my hubby.
4. Buy our next home with enough room for a craft room, and a small farm where we could have horses, goats, and a bigger garden.
5. Become healthier so I can live a long life with my family.
