I Just love looking at old magazines for these ads...
but I miss the old commercials...Palmolive, bounty, charmin, imperial, kodak, they made you remember the product back then..now a days..not so much...though my new fave is the Pamper commercial that says "what happens in the diaper, should stay in the diaper" love it!!!

I often get nostalgic for those bygone days... BUT your ads certainly show us that some things definitely do change for the better! It is rather shocking to see what the ad agencies deemed appropriate and acceptable!

all I can say is wow! I cannot believe the Chase and Sanborne ad. Just let my DH try and turn me over his knee, lol.

There is an expression, "we/you don't know what we/you don't know". Someone definately didn't know the reactions years later.

I bought an old LIFE magazine at an antique shop and they had a huge ad advertising Camel cigarettes. The slogan said "Have a Camel after a meal - it actually AIDS digestion"
