dpparris 01-29-2011 12:37 PM

We have ordered alot of books from Amazon and never had any problems.

Lisa_wanna_b_quilter 01-29-2011 12:38 PM

I love Amazon! I buy stuff from Amazon all the time. If I need more $$ to get up to the $25 order for free shipping, I go to the clearance books. I'd rather pay for a book than shipping. :)

M.E.H. 01-29-2011 12:38 PM

I have never had a problem with them. I live in a small shopping area so I shop there a lot.

trupeach1 01-29-2011 12:40 PM

I love amazon I order from the all the time. Including groceries.

About a week ago I ordered tahini and they weren't packed well and arrived damaged, what a mess. Amazon replaced them with no problem, again they arrived damaged I called amazon they replaced them again. The 3rd time they were also damaged as they were not packed well. This time amazon said they would contact the warehouse. They not only gave me a refund they gave me a $20 gift card for the inconvience that I had to call 3 times. I love amazon.

Connie in CO 01-29-2011 12:40 PM

Do you just give them your credit card number? Connie in CO

amma 01-29-2011 12:41 PM

Amazon is a great company to order from :D:D:D

NancyG 01-29-2011 12:49 PM

I love ordering from Amazon. They are wonderful. Yes, you can use your credit card. Like previously stated, try to get over $25 and you get free shipping!!

Quiltforme 01-29-2011 12:49 PM

I love amazon!

shawnemily 01-29-2011 12:55 PM

I love Amazon too! I do a lot of shopping there. I have for years. YOu can even "subscribe" and get regular shiments of products you use a lot of! For instance; I like the Big Train Chai Latte. Now I get it through them; free shipping and only $17 for 2 big cans! I was paying about $12 per can and $4-6 per can shipping! I was really happy to find this deal! I have only had 1 problem with a shipment being damaged and they immediately shipped a new package.

PWinston 01-29-2011 12:57 PM

I probably order something from them almost every week or two - - usually after I see something on this site that I then have to go and purchase the book. However, I've purchased a steam mop, small appliances, drug store type items, ink for printer, etc. Love the convenience (also live in rural area) and, as stated earlier, go for the $25 and free shipping. With that said, not everything on Amazon qualifies for free shipping though.

I've bought lots from Amazon, always get what I ordered and promptly.

KarenK 01-29-2011 02:26 PM

I've never had a problem with them and have order many different items from their site. If you order over $25.00, shipping is free - on select items. I wait until my order meets the free shipping criteria.

Midwestmary 01-29-2011 02:26 PM

Nothing but excellent service, good prices and prompt shipping - never a problem with them!

mcdaniel023 01-29-2011 04:02 PM

irishrose 01-29-2011 05:41 PM

I've never bought a movie, but I've purchased many, many books as gifts and for me. They are arrived quickly, well packaged and if you spend more than $25 on Amazon books or items, they ship free. I have several quilt patterns in my wish list waiting for me to purchase now.

OmaForFour 01-30-2011 06:04 AM

Amazon is WONDERFUL! I ordered almost all my Christmas gifts from them this past holiday. I have used them for years and years. They always have what I want at good prices and ship promptly.

oneygirl 01-30-2011 06:05 AM

I love Amazon! The pricing is very fair, and if you order $25 worth of merchandise at a time shipping is free!

janiesews 01-30-2011 06:27 AM

Have always had good luck buying from Amazon.

QuilterChick 01-30-2011 06:39 AM

Never a problem, just the opposite. Awesome service. Set up an account and you won't have to fill out all your info ever again ... just click ! I get my Kindle books and a lot of other "stuff" there with free shipping. Quick too. Watch out, it can be another addiction.

Usually you will see two prices: The price for the new item and the start price of those listing it used. Remember than when you buy it new you buy from Amazon, but when you buy used you buy from someone else. The good thing is that Amazon stand behind their sellers. I got all my textbooks there and never had a problem.

Also, if you prefer, you can use Paypal. Either way, as the others have said, Amazon is great!

steelecg 01-30-2011 08:05 AM

One click shopping is my enemy, but they are reliable, fast and have some good deals - I have never had a problem with new or used items bought there.

Debra Mc 01-30-2011 08:49 AM

Have always had wonderful service from them. It also arrives exactly when they say it will.

b.zang 01-30-2011 09:27 AM

Amazon has taken easy shopping to new heights (unfortunately  ).
I always use the .ca site for Canadian shoppers.
I've bought things from secondary sellers as well through Amazon, such as secondhand books, and have always been pleased with the service.
Shipments from Amazon come with a postage-paid tag if you want to return them, you don't even pay the postage! They obviously do huge business to absorb so much shipping cost. Even if you order items that come from several places, in multiple shipments, there is only one shipping cost and sometimes that's free!
Another nice thing about Amazon is the product reviews. People like us write reviews on things, which becomes a handy shopping tool when making a decision about what to buy.

My son is in the US Navy and was stationed on a ship in the middle east and the guys on the ship were always ordering coffee, groceries, movies (as soon as they come out),books popcorn. You would swear the Navy never fed them. Good delivery, never hear any complaints. Even Singapore no problems with shipping. Used APO and Navy did the rest.

How did you call Amazon? My husband bought me a dictionery and there were 272 pages missing. I contacted the publisher of the book because I couldn't find anywhere to contact Amazon. Other than that, have had no problems with them.

I love Amazon. A lot of my Christmas shopping is done there each year. I buy books for the grandkids there all the time and keep myself stocked up on tea from there. I've bought lots of things there over the years with free S&H and no disappointments!

belmer 01-30-2011 10:16 AM

Well..... Im definately sold on Amazon! I was thinking about buying from them and now I'm going to . Thank's everyone for your input. I'm so glad someone asked this question....

pgthom 01-30-2011 11:42 AM

No problems with the books I have ordered from them. Haven't ordered any movies.

Clara101 01-30-2011 12:36 PM

I have bought a TON of stuff and only had one problem. I did eventually get a full refund for the product that was sent, but not as advertised. Otherwise I have been totally satisfied.

BettyGee 01-30-2011 12:37 PM

I've been ordering from Amazon since 1997 and have never had any problems. I'm a Prime Member so shipping is free and the amount of items I ordered more than makes up for the membership fee.

tutty 01-30-2011 12:53 PM

No problem !
