Is there a group for lady's that make the American Girl clothes? If so would love to join. I've seen at least 4 mentions of the clothes just since I logged on. Even tho I have moved from Ill to Mt and don't have access to craft fairs I still find myself making new outfits for my dolls. They become an addiction after a while lol.

PM me, too! These are so cute.

You have been a busy little bee. I love all the items you made for the American Girl. Isn't it ridiculous the price that any of the items are sold for in the American Girl shops?
|
Your aprons are cute!! Does anyone know of a source for buying American Girl Doll - shoes and accessories - inexpensively? I like to make clothes as gifts for my granddaughters - but would be nice to add shoes and such!!

Most likely Nancy Ziemen's website is the best source for inexpensive accessories, although I am not sure. Here is the link to over 200 items. http://search.nancysnotions.com/?q=1...39&sp_cs=UTF-8 I have found patterns in books and McCall's and Simplicity that have patterns and directions for making some shoes and accessories. You just have to look around. Some things I believe those who sew can figure out without a pattern. |
Very cute....

Gosh these are cute! Can't believe you've made so many. Too bad my granddaughter is "in" to stuffed animals and not American Girl dolls. LOL
|
Got my apron and chef's hat today - totally adorable, along with the sweater & hat, and the summer dress. Niece is super excited to "earn" these special prizes. You did an awesome job Sue. Keep sending me pics of new things!

Very cute, I want to get started making them this yr. I have a beautiful grand daughter who will be almost 3 at Christmas and I want to find a doll the same size as the American Doll to play with until I can not only afford the A. Doll but she'll be old enough to take care of it too. Still looking for good resources for patterns.
|
If there is I'd check Yahoo, they have a group for everything. Including one for each machine out there.
