Is it just me or did it look like an angle at the end when they did the fireworks and the back of the plane??? Thanks Ditter, that is absolutely the most amazing think i have heard since the song by Toby Keith.
God bless our sevice men and women, and to a job well done, you will be in our hearts forever.

Now if I could stop crying.

Touching, thanks for giving us the link. Did you see the angel in the smoke from the plane? I couldn't believe it was so beautiful. It was at the end and the plane is coming directly toward you.

Awesome video. Can't make me believe that it is "just smoke"

I was on a commercial flight within the US. Just a normal flight, nothing out of the ordinary. You know, people coughing, kids crying during take off and landing because their ears hurt. You know, the usual.

When we landed the announcement came over the loudspeaker, as it always does, to "please remain seated with your seat belts fastened until the captain brings the plane to the jetway". Same message as always.

Then, just as we were at the jetway another announcement came over the loudspeaker. I don't remember the exact words but something like, "Please remain in your seats and observe a moment of silence while the remains of a fallen soldier have been taken from the plane".

It was so weird. No one moved, no one coughed or shuffled in their seat. The children stopped crying. Dead silence for about 5 solid minutes. When the announcement came over the loudspeaker that we were now free to exit the plane people actually paused, no one spoke, no one shoved to get into the overhead for their carry-on. Everything was so orderly and quiet.

I don't know why the body of a fallen soldier was on a commercial flight, maybe it was either the only way to get him (or her) home or maybe the quickest.

Do a Google search for C-30 FLARES and you will see some amazing video.

If you have not seen the movie "Taking Chance" starring Kevin Bacon, it is about a Marine, escorting a soldier home for burial. Incredibly moving story.

Kat,

The soldiers are brought to an air base and from there, their casket often needs a commercial transport to get to their home town, unless there are flights scheduled by the military to another base, close to the hometown of the soldier.

When ever you see a soldier in full dress, alone on a plane, this just might be the situation because most don't fly in full uniform, but in fatigues. Most airlines will bump them into first class if there is a seat available.
