I might have to try this. I have a box of acrylic paints and a bottle gallon of elmers, all I need is some blank canvas from Hobby Lobby.

You guys and gals are so bad for me.......lol All these new ideas and projects, I will have to live to at least 150 to get them done if I am lucky.....lol

I think it looks so interesting. One of my quilting friends started doing this. She said it’s so relaxing. Now she has tons of canvases she’s trying to sell. But I don’t need to gather more craft supplies!

What was the paint medium that you used?

The medium is called Floetrol and was $8.95 for a gallon at the hardware store in the paint dept. It will do about 4 8x10's.

Or, you can come to Canada and pay $35.95 for the same thing at Michael's!

I've seen a lot of these types of paintings for sale in my area. They are on FB Marketplace.

Oh, Watson - I've been watching the videos at night, somehow I find them relaxing - but I'm really trying to Not get another hobby in the house (along w/quilting, crochet, beadwork, watercolors, etc.!). I hope you have some fun with it!

Those are beautiful! I'm glad I'm not susceptible to new hobbies. At least so far I'm not.

Yes, I took this up last year after seeing it at a Craft Fair, and I do have issues keeping the cells. As you say, we don't know what we'll get till it's done. I've since found a yearning to do mixed media, and began the first attempt this week. Like other hobbies it's expensive too, but am hoping that when/if I become more confident I might be able to sell some to recoup the finances. After all, how many of these crafty things can we hang on our walls and beds. I also use another medium that is thinner than Floetrol (can't remember it's name, but paint flows quicker)

Here's some of what I've done for anyone interested

no. 4 is the only one I've kept, my DD took the other 3 not brilliant ones north to sell, or paint over.

I love doing fluid art, even though it's super-messy and I end up with paint in places I didn't even know I had! ;) LOL! Here are a few of my favorites. I make ACEO cards (collectible trading cards) and pendants for my craft fairs.
