Anyone Done Paint Pouring?

I need another hobby like a hole in the head, but I became fascinated with this on Youtube, so had to give it a try, as I already had most of the requirements on hand as my husband is an artist. Just had to buy the pouring medium.

This was really fun and my first two attempts on 8 x 10 canvases came out really pretty. The neat thing is that you never know how it is going to turn out.

You mix acrylic a number of paints with a pouring medium then layer them in a cup, then turn the cup upside down on the canvas and tilt the canvas to cover it with paint. The funny part is that what I meant to be the main colour hardly showed up at all in the second one. (Rose gold) I'm sure there are ways to control that but I just don't know the techniques yet.

I've never heard of paint pouring. I especially like the second one.

I've just recently seen videos on this. I would like to do it with my granddaughter. Haven't tried it yet though. Yours are very pretty.

Have you seen the videos where they pour the paint through a strainer??? It is amazing. I haven't tried poured painting yet but have seen many of the videos and would like to give it a try one day.

I like the colors in your second photo . . . reminds me of the beach.

I tried it but mine was not as successful as yours. Then had the challenge of what I was going to do with it . . . I have enough "art" on my walls. I would rather place wall hangings that I can change out when I'm ready for something different.

My younger daughter has caught the bug and is making some fantastic pieces like yours! She is even selling on Ebay. Yours are lovely!
