i would rather be checked 3 times and have it be nothing, than to have them assume it's ok! i will beam positive thoughts your way! here's hoping for a clean reading!!

Yes. I have a Cyst in my right breast. I must go back about every other year for an ultrasound. I also have an enlarged lymph gland (?) they are watching. This last ultra scan was VERY thorough....I was pretty shaken up that it took so long, and much relieved when they said all was ok. When I had cancer in the left breast....they took care of everything right then, at the same time.....another mammo, and an ultra scan. By the way, it's been 19 years since then.

Hi, I have had that happen....usually though while I wait for them to check the images, then they come back and get you to have it again...Now they do the difital mammograms...is this what you had? They do an ultra sound when they see something they are not sure of, something suspicious. Do schedule it as soon as you can though. It may be nothing, but if it is something, early detection is the key...I am living proof of it.

I too have had to have sonagrams done, I have had cysts aspirated, but the last time they just said it would probably just go away... Hope all comes out well.

Yes - 3 years in a row. They finally decided it was nothing.

I have had this happen also. It's scary the first time but was very glad all was well. Done it a few times since and nothing serious yet. Wish you all the best and hope everything is fine. Just be thankful they are more careful and want to be sure that all is fine with you. I'm just glad the technology is there to really check things out.

Just got home,Dr. said it was calcifacation (spelling ?) and wants to see me in 6 months. Thank you for all your replies, it sure helped to ease my mind. Michele

Yup...had that happen and it was scary as heck...cried the whole time. They did the ultrasound and sucked it out with a very large needle...it was nothing. Nothing we say will take away the fear for you...I'll be thinking of you and sending up a prayer for you!

I've had the follow up needle biopsy, and was freaked out, too. I think I was more scared of the needle than the biopsy, but it really didn't hurt at all. Turned out fine, too.

Several years ago I had one tech do it. Back again a year later for another. Lo and behold a mass appeared. About ready to go under the knife, when they (bless their pea picking hearts) wanted an ultasound done. NOTHING there. It seems the first tech did not smash my girls enough and so the difference. No surgery, no stress thanks to the good Lord.
