Congratulations to the new family with such a beautiful boy.
And, know this - you can't spoil a baby by picking it up too much. Enjoy having full arms instead of that full tummy. |
I was told by a very wise woman (she raised 9 children) that babies will make their own schedules. When he's hungry, you'll know it and so will the neibors!!
|
He's perfect! And the forcep mark WILL go away quickly - my 9 lb daughter's did, and she's a beautiful 46 year old!

Congrats Mel and Sasha! Alex is such a cutie!
Happy Mother's Day, Mel! |
Auntie Ronda's advice:
Let Baby tell you through his behavior what he wants. Don't eat spicy foods to harm breastmilk. This could cause early colic. What you describe is mild colic. Your calmness is going to be the ticket, Mel. Babies can really sense if tension exists. It is a learning curve for you as Alex is your firstborn, but I think if you follow your own judgment the crying will be read as a need to meet, like changing a diaper or nursing. The onding and adjustment is what you are experiencing. This will soon be old hat, and you will know in your heart what your baby needs and wants. He is a little treasure, and such a cutiepie! Melanie is back in the hospital. SHe has a high feaver and will be on IV for at least 48 hours. Alex is fine.
