When I am knitting I just say as soon as I finish this row....it is really dangerous to stop and they know it....at times it has to be the same for quilting. When I was studying art no one needed me until I went to my studio....I was advised to get a door! A few weeks ago my husband woke me at 2 am for help....I jumped out of bed to help him as he was going into a diabetic coma....so my advice is to discern if possible what is real trouble.

I'm thankful I have my husband to help. He won't ask unless he really needs help which is seldom. If i mention something I saw on here and think it would help such as the lift for my machine, boards for rolling quilt on etc. he will go out to the garage and when he comes back in he has made whatever I had mentioned. My husband is 74 years old and we have been married 52 years, thankful he needs help with things as I do also.He is my best friend and I wouldn't trade him for all the gold in the world. Be thankful ladies they could be asking another woman for help.

So I go help him quickly!

My hubby is the same way! If he asks he really needs help!

If mine asks for help he really wants me to do it and most times he will disappear and I end up doing it by myself. so if I need something done I ask a DS if I need help or I just go ahead and muddle thru.

I ask if he needs me RIGHT now or can it be a few minutes. He usually says now, no just when you can. It also is when he can't do it himself.

Once DH has been fed (wonder how he manages to find food when he's in FL and I'm still in MN) - he seldom asks me to help with anything.

When he does, I go and do what I can right away.

The cat is a whole nuther story!

I agree with DebraK and katyquilter.

My hubby never bothers me except to ask if I want anything or to say Good nite as he goes to bed earlier. What a sweetie!!!

I go help, because he doesn't ask unless he really needs help.

Happens ALL the time! But I do it without complaint because 'turnabout is fair play" and he helps me when I need it, too.
