Spotted the cat...'nuff said.

You can see the impact in 3rd pic.

auntpiggylpn 10-18-2011 06:22 PM

craftybear 10-18-2011 06:22 PM

Wow, what kind of dog and how is his poor head? Did the cat escape?

cizzors 10-18-2011 06:31 PM

She's a 42lb idiot boxer-a perpetual puppy. Never missed a beat chasing the cat. Everyone is ok. I honestly don't think she felt a thing.

fidgety 10-18-2011 06:34 PM

I didn't laughed until I looked at your avatar and saw her face looking at the pie. Priceless!

Glassquilt 10-18-2011 06:51 PM

All I can think about is the work in repairing the corner.
Too bad the dog can't do the work as a lesson to never run in the house.

bepositive 10-18-2011 06:56 PM

OH NO! I hope everyone is OK!!!

jillnjo 10-18-2011 07:01 PM

Dogs can get headaches. Most animals will hide their pain as a survival technique. Showing pain lets other animals and predators know that they are weaker then them. To see an animal limp or guard an area on their body usually means that they are in tremendous pain. Just a little bit of my $32,000 education coming out in me! (Will graduate next year with an Associates Degree as a Registered Vet Tech!)

The sad part is it took 4 pillows for me to learn MY lesson!

The best part is that I literally woke up one morning to a totally different dog, behavior wise. She's just a year and a half but a totally different dog from 5 months ago. She's not perfect but I love her to death, the idiot.

BETTY62 10-18-2011 07:40 PM

Well, that's kids for ya. Glad both are OK.

baskets4moo 10-18-2011 07:49 PM

At first glance I thought you had a new, unique bed covering.

Your dog reminds me of my friend's son. I had to get bottles of drinks for him as EVERY time he came over he would knock over glasses or cans( at least with bottles they didn't spill with the lids on). He pushed in( in as in a new way to go through the door) the lower panel of my screen door. AND He broke off the shower head which was perfectly fine before he used it.

quiltingcandy 10-18-2011 08:08 PM

Oh my!

traumaRN 10-18-2011 08:15 PM

Holy crap! Did you get a pic of the cat laughing??

hensandhollyhocks 10-18-2011 08:25 PM

Sorry, but had to laugh!

COYOTEMAGIC 10-18-2011 08:31 PM

I'm a firm believer that God looks out for "idiot" dogs. My girls not an idiot, she's partially blind and runs into things. Walls, the porch, tractor tires. And she RUNS into them. She has basicly learned the layout of the backyard and runs at warp speed from place to place and sometimes into an inmovable objects. She picks herself up, shakes her head and is off again

This made me laugh!! Having owned a couple of them myself, I can honestly say more sentences are started/ended with the phrase "that idiot boxer" than any other dog breed!! One of them used to eat only left shoes, never right ones. And, she attacked the pop-up sprinkler heads on the neighbors lawn irrigation systems when I would take her out for walks....idiot Boxer!

bjrusty 10-19-2011 02:00 AM

Painiacs 10-19-2011 03:01 AM

merchjag 10-19-2011 03:50 AM

I'd hate to be the cat!

dd 10-19-2011 04:35 AM

I think I heard you say one time that you always wanted a feather bed!
Cats don't let anyone see them laugh but she is probably waiting around the corner waiting to get the dog back. Again.

SouthPStitches 10-19-2011 04:46 AM

I have had two Olde English Sheepdogs. First girl Sophie was wise beyond her years; so super intelligent and eager to please. Her successor, Maggie was nothing but an idiot too. Used to refer to her as my ditzy blonde. She wasn't worth a hoot until she was three, finally calming down and listening. Remained very flaky the rest of her life but she was unwaveringly loyal and a happy, friendly girl. Hang in there, your teen will come around.

happynana 10-19-2011 05:28 AM

rwillig 10-19-2011 05:44 AM

lol. maybe she needs a hard hat! It is amazing the stories we can tell about our pets! Years ago we had some friends help us with a barn raising and fed them ribs at luch. I thought we had the ribs up high enough when we went back out, but had so many we didnt notice any of them gone when we came back in.. When we went to collapse in bed that night... you know how you always fluff your pillow up when you lay down? Well, we had ribs hidden under our pillows! I think we laughed for an hour after cleaning it up! Enjoy!

That is the thing about Boxers - they are hard-headed in several ways. But love them dearly.

BTW - my big boy thinks that he has to chase the cat when we get home. Don't know why, but every time we walk in w have to yell at him to leave the cat alone.

Here is my chaser

And his usual chase-ee

My hubby and I were driving down the street in his black sports car. A dog similar to yours was running as fast as he could across the street to go up a cul de sac. I yelled for my hsband to stop. He did just as the dog plowed into the door of our car. The dog got up, shook his head and ran on up the cul de sac. We found where he lived to see that he was alright. He was fine. Our car had $2000 worth of damage. Just a note of info. because the dog hit us it was under homeowner's insurance rather than car insurance. Good point to know if you out there ever have a deer run into you.
