Mine is my own.

Mine is from when we lived in Cincinnati. My husband and I were big fans of the Cyclones hockey team. So he is clonesfan1 and I'm clonesfan2.
I had been examining my gray hair one day (HOW did that happen?) and started humming that old song, "The old gray mare,/ she ain't what she used to be/ many long years ago." So true! So, theoldgraymare.

Mine came because I like using all kinds of needles. Crafts using glue never turn out well, let me sew it on. Also I got tired of never remembering what I used as a password. This I can remember.
I used to be a "doll doctor" (doll repair) and when I started thinking of a name I remembered Granny from Beverly Hill Billys calling herself "dr granny" that is where I got my name.

One of my dgd called me that one day when I was kind of out of sorts and it became a family joke. So the choice wasn't hard to make to come up a board name. I'm really not crabby all the time. lol

Mine is a song I have always liked.

One name fits all my needs-the quilting board and the DIET boards. However I like it here way better.
Thank you LeeAnn for starting this thread It's so interesting to see where everybody came up with their names.
mine is a nickname the guys at work gave me
Hubby gave me the name in marriage. Get nervous when having to picK codes or passwords then have to remember where to use each one.
Was told it was already used so mine is misspelled but when I did search and sent emails they come to me. Wish I could get it corrected. Like this thread too. |
I love to sew and when I don't get to, I go krazy. Hence, . . .
My Board name is my email. I found a site several years ago that had you put your first and last name in, and it gave you your FAKE english title. Mine came out as "Lady Madame Kelly, of Puddleston St. Droop". I thought it was funny, so 'madamekelly' I am. I did not even make the 'madam' connection until someone pointed it out to me. I wish I could find the site again, but I just can't find it. Sorry.

Mine is the name I gave to my boat. A combination of nautical and the nickname I was given as a child, DeeDee. The same name I use on many fishing sites. When I meet new fisherman in person or online it is a running bet with my fiance who will ask if it means naughty girl. Either way works for me. Lol

My Board name honors an ancestor whose name I fell in love with the first time my grandmother told me about her.
my board name is my "quilt chat"( quilter's chatroom) name.
A friend of mine said that I was a purplefiend and it stuck. I love purple! I use it in my quilts and wear it lots. I'd have a purple car if I could. :D :D |
I live in Houston, Texas (21 years) and I am originally from Lafayette, Louisiana. And people always called us coona**es or cajuns. So I came up with the name Ruacajun2 as a question to people. And it's funny how many people actually get it and answer me...
I will try anything! Sooooo...there comes tryitall.

I've been Lady Crafter for as long as I can remember. I originally started as Lady Quilter, but decided that I like to craft as well.
My dear cocker spaniel was named Lady, so she fit into the mix also. Every name I have anywhere on the computer is "Lady something". How could you NOT love a face like this? (We were dealing with eye issues at the time this picture was taken.) She has since crossed the rainbow bridge, but will never be forgotten. :D |
This name came from an old TV show that used to be on many,many,many..you get the idea...years ago...the little girl's name was Maggie Muggins...
Mine is my name. Easy to remember! I don't often read every single entry but I did all of these. Most interesting.
Mine is a childhood nickname and the year I was born.... :D
Mine is nick name Toodie (must have been 10 others on email)
first name actually Monnasue so became toodie from grandma. |
Mine is from the grandkids calling me Nana and there is 15 of them. Nine boys and 6 girls, they are from the age of 4 to 29. Keeps live busy and happy.
mine came from having to travel all the time for work (gypsy) and of course I'm a quilter at heart so I'd find a quilt store where ever I went (the most unusual one was in Japan), so gypsyquilter became my name.
I raised basenjis and it was my kennel name
