My sympathy! It's amazing how much damage water can cause, isn't it?

Vicki W 01-12-2011 10:03 AM

Sorry to hear of your leak and damage. I hope it is cleared up soon and that your machine is ok.

scowlkat 01-12-2011 10:25 AM

That stinks! I have been there and know how frustrating it is. So sorry your day isn't going the way you planned!

Sorry to hear this, unexpected change of plans are no fun,
if you can gently put a hole in the area so the water can come out in one spot, with other items as protected as you can, tarp, trash bag under to catch the extra drips. May help reduce the extra damage, and help prevent it from spreading to other areas, giving the water a way out.
Can you guess how I know this?
Hang in there !! (((Huggs)))

Oh poor you, still think of the qulters in Australia who have probally lost everything. Chin up. A good excuse to go to the quilt shop.

Ditter43 01-12-2011 11:28 AM

I have two shoulders and lots of tissues, so cry away! My first thought was your sewing machine. Glad it was safe. Sorry about the mess. :|

vivoaks 01-12-2011 11:40 AM

Yes, yes, yes! I should remember all those poor Austrailians who are suffering under those horrendous conditions. My problem is small in comparison. Thanks for helping me to put it into perspective. :-) This too shall pass....

It is still hard, tho, so don't put it down completely. Best of luck drying out your fabric pieces.
