OMG..sorry to hear that you have a leak! Glad that your machine is okay. You can replace fabric but the machine would be costly. Good luck with all that mess....i am sending a big HUG :!:

Thanks, everybody, for the help in lifting my spirits. I was just feeling sorry for myself, and wasn't looking at the big picture. I really am blessed, and this leak is certainly not the end of the world. There are so many others in this world who are so much worse off than me, that I really have no call to complain. Fabric will dry, and I can sew someplace else till the leaking stops...(by spring, maybe?) Anyway, thanks, everyone!! You're a blessing!!!

I can only imagine......& like others said, thank heaven the sewing machine is high & dry.Take a deep breath & then count your blessings. It didn't soak your bed....etc.You're a quilter & will get thru it.Hugs for you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. We had kitchen pipes break a few years ago and had to redo two basement rooms, luckily neither of them my quilting area.

That was my first immediate thought too...hope your machine is still ok! You can move that anywhere you need to and still do something creative. All is not lost, just delayed a bit. All will be ok soon :)

Sending hugs!

AHHHHHH so sorry to hear this. Hope you can make light of the situation .... move your sewing machine into the kitchen table and start with fabric that isnt wet. take a break now and again and move the buckets...

Tis the time for leaks, did you read the one in the first section where her cupboard stash is all wet? I had one in my sewing room but thankfully the leak fell on plastic boxes of crafts and thread. MyDH had to replace part of a wall in the closet upstairs but some day the ceiling will need to be redone. We have a roof problem and that area needs to be repaired again. Rinse and dry your fabric and you are wise to take your machine to another area to sew.
Sharing makes every burden easier to bear, we all feel for you.
