Nan, you do wonderful work. I love to knit. Usually get the itch around this time of year.
|
Gosh Nan, do you ever sleep?

They are beautiful. I really like the scallops on the red and white ones. They will be used and loved.

Your hats are great!! My late DH was very happy to get one when he was in the hospital getting chemo.
I love making hats too, I made some for the winter coat drive at the agency where I volunteer, and have a bunch more to give to their warming shelter when cold weather hits. I will be making some for cancer patients with the "prettier" yarn. I find crocheting to be fastest, can make a hat a night, but I really love knitting and the way they turn out, even though they take longer. Oh, and I am going to make some more newborn hats for the hospital nursery too. There is a reason for my yarn hoarding!! Of course this will all take place After I get my quilt finished. |
I am so happy to see you made some suitable for men! I was just talking to my brother yesterday, he is currently being treated for multiple myloma in Pittsburgh, and has lost all his hair. He was telling me he likes the knit caps they offer the patients, but few are color appropriate for men, and even fewer fit. Unfortunately, I do not knit or crochet, sewing is my limit. Thank You!!

Nice hats to keep them warm also. Very kind of you to make these for the cause!
