Not sure its a crime cause its trash on the curn but hopefully they dont know and put the scare in them!!!!

Even though the cans are @ the curb, technically it is still your property and no one should be going through it. Just because you leave your car @ the curb doesn't mean someone and go through it or drive off with it. You pay the trash bill and take the can in and out so it is your responsability. I worked for a major trash company for years and this was one of the major complaints we got, people going through the trash. We adviced them that if it was the same people every week they could call the police. Don"t know if anything came of that though.

We burn our trash but I don't care what is in it-I would be having a serious talk with the relatives. That's disgraceful (and disgusting).

I shred everything....

Have had a shredder for years. It's the way to go.
