WHY do they choose to sleep where they do??

sweet 06-16-2011 04:39 AM

Looks like she'd like some catnip for motivation!

Opal Jane 06-16-2011 04:41 AM

I don't know but they do pick some crazy places. I notice my cat will get in a pattern of sleeping in the same place for days at a time and then she changes her mind doesn't go back to that spot.

michelehuston 06-16-2011 04:42 AM

I found mine sleeping wrapped around my head this morning. I have no clue why they do the things they do!!

litacats 06-16-2011 04:43 AM

is she reading the paper or is she waiting for the fish and chips that came wrapped in the paper. I can remember when they came wrapped in greaseproof paper then newspaper.

bearisgray 06-16-2011 04:45 AM

My favorite color cat!

So why are two gray ones living here? (Because they were strays and I fed them)

"Cat... it's what's for dinner! "

Hysterical! Perfect title; aren't they always entertaining?!!

She seems to know someone there loves the paper so she wants to know what the draw is.

redkimba 06-16-2011 05:08 AM

Because we let them... I can't do anything without my two shadows.

The best quote about cats: Only a cat can sleep anywhere and make it look comfortable.

amma 06-16-2011 06:10 AM

LMBO cute picture :D:D:D

CoyoteQuilts 06-16-2011 06:14 AM

It's the paper not the plate. Our feline can NOT leave any type of paper alone, she just has to hold it down for us!

Maggiemay 06-16-2011 06:17 AM

"WHY do they choose to sleep where they do??"

Because they want to!

My cat used to do that when she thought I was sick. Usually I did have a cold or something like that. Cat's seem to know things before we do:)

SuzanneG 06-16-2011 09:31 AM

I don't know either why cats do some of the things they do, but it's that unpredictability and sponteneity that I love so much about them! :D :D

raedar63 06-16-2011 09:44 AM

HAAAAA ! that is a perfet post to go with the pic, made me smile :) Cats are so funny. Mine will pick the most uncomfortable looking places to sleep.

Anael 06-16-2011 10:54 AM

ROFL I've seen my cat sleeping in weird places but never on a plate LOL

Sure. This is #1 son's room. He ... uhhh... has a problem with closing drawers. And this is what happens as a result.

SherriB 06-16-2011 08:44 PM

She is a beauty!!! My cats love to sleep on the laundry in the baskets. I have a bad habit of putting off folding laundry and when I do, it is usually covered in cat hair. Oh well, it just adds warmth in the winter!! LOL!!!

Favorite Fabrics 06-16-2011 08:51 PM

How does that saying go? No outfit is complete without cat hair?

This is how I find my youngest this afternoon!

749janet 06-16-2011 08:59 PM

She's sleeping on the dinner plate??!! That is just too funny for words.

I bought our cat a nice furry bed but she never sleeps in it. The other day my husband brought a box home from work and sat it on the chair in the living room and the cat jumps right in it and goes to sleep!!

She also loves laundry baskets filled with nice warm clothes from out of the dryer!!

I had just finished crocheting a doily and had laid it on the coffee table when my darling cat thought it was meant just for her!!

Beautiful ball of fur!

jeannie t 06-17-2011 03:54 AM

Cute pic! I can totally relate our cat and 2 dogs rule the house. I'm just here to please them LOL!

mermaid 06-17-2011 03:58 AM

My 17lb long hair tabby won't let me out of his sight. Right now my left arm is across the back of a nearby recliner--he's lying on top of my arm...difficult to type w/one hand! My avatar has passed away but still my fave. Oh, they all are, aren't they?

DeeBooper 06-17-2011 04:01 AM

too funny

sewmom 06-17-2011 04:05 AM

I was having company over and had set the table ahead of time. As I'm getting other things ready, I looked into the dining room and there was my cat curled up on a plate fast asleep! Not knowing how many she tried out before settling on that one, I had to rewash all of them. So much for being ahead of the game. I love your caption and your fur baby.

teacherbailey 06-17-2011 05:01 AM

My cats seem to pick the place that is least convenient for me at the time to go to sleep. (Like on top of the quilt magazine that I've saved to read til my housework is done..) And I'm such a softy that I very rarely move them....

Fabaddict 06-17-2011 05:05 AM

ROFLOL

laalaaquilter 06-17-2011 05:18 AM

As my cats' human I am aware that I am not allowed to eat, or wear, anything that doesn't have a cat hair on it.

SparkMonkey 06-17-2011 05:24 AM

Ah, cats. :-) Mine has taken to curling up in my quilting hoop when I leave it on the couch. At least I can pick it up without disturbing her highness...

Sandra-P 06-17-2011 05:52 AM

What a sweet kitty!

jellybeans 06-17-2011 06:17 AM

OMG ROFL That's funny.

GlitzyMe 06-17-2011 06:20 AM

And of course the favorite spot.... A QUILT!

QBeth 06-17-2011 07:20 AM

Despite what some think, cats do need human companionship. What are the plate and newspaper to the cat?? Answer, they are two things the cat's person will come back to, at some point. Being in your way is their way of saying they need some attention, for example, if I'm reading a book or on the computer, a furry one will try to get between me and the book, etc.

As for the cat wrapped around your head, according to my Rudy, it's not MY pillow, it's HIS! :-)

Love your picture. My cats are outdoors, one long hair wild one and a yellow bobtail. Had 4 kittens, 2 long tails and 2 bobtails. Love the Manx kittens.
