Chia Seeds

I just started eating these little seeds that I bought from the local health food store. The more I read about the benefits from eating chia seeds the more I realize how healthy they are. Here's a link to more information that you might enjoy reading. Does anyone else use them?

I eat them in my oatmeal along with ground flax seed.

I haven't eaten them, but I think I might start. :) Thanks for sharing

If you can eat the seeds I wonder if you can eat the little green stuff from a chia pet in a salad? ??

Dr. Oz is promoting these seeds so there must be health value in them. Do you eat them plain or mix them in other foods?

On Dr. Oz's show the other day, he was saying how good they are for you.

We give flax to our horses for glossy coats!! Works wonders!

So far I have mixed them in other foods. They go down easy sprinkled on a salad and in stir fry. This morning I did put some in my raisin bran. They don't have any noticeable taste, but are a little crunchy.

What benefit are they to your health? There are so many grains and plants that are good for us but what exactly do they help with? (Hoping to be about 25 again with a svelte, lithe body and the kind of husband many of you guys have! Will they help?)
