So what is your favorite flavor? I love vanilla hazelnut coffee, vanilla-caramel tea, strawberry shortcake, chocolate chip cookies, and cinnamon rolls? For starters!lol

Rhonda 02-21-2010 11:11 PM

Chocolate chocolate and more chocolate anything!! LOL

Lisanne 02-22-2010 12:10 AM

Oh, now I get it. Your other thread was a duplicate. I thought it was just the one post.

So, again, I think butter is my favorite flavor, especially when melted into things. Most of what I like is just something to hang butter on: toast, waffles, pancakes, potatoes, even certain veggies. I also prefer yellow (butter-flavored) cakes above all, with, naturally, buttercream frosting.

Chocolate is a second favorite, so make that chocolate buttercream frosting.

Strawberry is close behind.

Sour cream & onion, as in potato chips...

Quiltsbybarb 02-22-2010 07:06 AM

Chocolate marshmallow for ice cream, vanilla for pudding!

ToucanSam 02-22-2010 07:07 AM

For cake, chocolate with vanilla icing. For ice cream, vanilla 60% of the time, chocolate 40%. For cheesecake, white chocolate all the way!

Minda 02-22-2010 07:45 AM

I LOVE McDonald's hot hazelnut latte! It's the best!
Vanilla ice cream (with toppings of course).
Pepsi instead of Coke.

Yes-butter!!!! I love it!!! I like popcorn with my butter. I don't care what the movie is---I go for the butter and popcorn. :)

I am more of a salt person than a sweets person. Give me chips, nuts, pretzels, etc. But ice cream is a weakness. I love Breyers natural vanilla with chocolate syrup.

I am SO with you... both on the butter, and the Breyer's natural vanilla!

But if it ain't Breyers ... then make it chocolate, and add some toasted almonds please!

I forgot to mention popcorn, but yes, that's another good butter holder.

I was thinking I might mention salt as a flavor. I'm not at all one of those people who pours salt over everything, but I love salty snacks and putting light amounts on foods.

But I love the sugary stuff, too.

yourstrulyquilts, love that wise cartoon!

Clothfiend 02-22-2010 08:55 AM

I'm still laughing out loud about the butter holder..OMG is that funny! However, I resemble her comment.

Rhonda 02-22-2010 09:05 AM

Actually I love anything that is salty and sweet. I love my version of trail mix--peanuts and m&m's!! Love it! I'm not a big lover of raisins and I shouldn't have them anyway since I am diabetic but if you add a protein to the sugar it balances each other out. So I can eat peanuts and m&m's as long as I don't pig out on them!!

If I had to pick one favorite thing I would have to say my homemade hot fudge pudding cake is to die for!

Chasing Hawk 02-22-2010 09:17 AM

Let's see, it's been so long since I even had ice cream..lol Due to the fat content and my diet.

I vaguely remember liking Rocky Road, Butter Pecan and Mint Chocolate Chip.

Baren*eh*ked_canadian 02-22-2010 10:04 AM

Ayoye, what a question to ask a pregnant lady, lol!!

I like butter flavour too, it's smooth and creamy, butter candies are soooo yummy!
I think I like vanilla ice cream the best, Bryers french vanilla, the one with the little black dots in it... ohh my stomach is growling! However, cookie dough ice cream is a close second.

For cake, chocolate devil's food with vanilla frosting.
Or my dad's oreo cheesecake.

Ok, I have to go eat something now, lol!

Jim's Gem 02-22-2010 12:06 PM

For ice cream, it Bryer's natural vanilla. If I want to juge it up I can add choc chips, choc syrup, cookie dough, oreo's etc.
Of course Home made vanilla Ice cream would take the cake if it wasn't so much darn work!!!
For cake, I actually prefer white cake with white frosting, if it's a box cake. My alltime favorite cake is Homemade Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.

vjengels 02-22-2010 12:08 PM

chocolate and caramel, chocolate and caramel, oh yeah, ice cream and cake, ice cream and cake.

Rhonda 02-22-2010 12:10 PM

Gayle you and my youngest son would hit it off cake wise. He wants white if he is going to eat cake with white frosting. No chocolate for him! The latter part of his teen years he always wanted cheesecake instead of a birthday cake. Now he prefers cheesecake or apple pie! with vanilla ice cream!!

I do not like vanilla I much prefer chocolate!!

Boston1954 02-22-2010 01:30 PM

Coffee. When I first moved to Nashville, they did not have it. A few years later, they finally did. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh......

Oh, I also love anything with chocolate in it. Were we talking about ice cream?

Oklahoma Suzie 02-22-2010 01:46 PM

I would have to say peanut butter. I have loved it since I was a kid.

Elisabrat 02-22-2010 02:17 PM

um of the above three... vanilla. Otherwise its carmel anything. I love carmel. My teeth hate me but I Love carmel and anything with the carmalized flavor including onions.

Jerrie 02-22-2010 02:22 PM

vanilla hazelnut coffee, peppermint tea, strawberry shortcake, chocolate chip cookies, and cinnamon rolls, popcorn,
Sour cream & onion potato chips

maryb119 02-22-2010 04:59 PM

mountain-moma 02-22-2010 06:23 PM

I love choclate and carmel and i do love, love apple anything

nursie76 02-22-2010 06:29 PM

I love vanilla anything! Especially ice cream. Like Turkey Hill cause they have fat free, sugar free that is really good. I don't drink coffee, but love vanilla flavored creamer in my tea. I like chocolate syrup on my ice cream sometimes, but when I really need a sugar fix I love pouring a little honey on it...just like caramel or taffy!

Oooooo! Now I'm hungry! :-(

2wheelwoman 02-22-2010 06:41 PM

I've already gained five pounds just reading this thread! YIKES!

Of the three flavors, I'd have to say Breyers vanilla would be tops on the list, with hot fudge sauce on it. The rest of the time it would be triple chocolate anything.

Rhonda 02-22-2010 06:45 PM

When I get a hot fudge sundae I try to remember to order it with choc ice cream instead of vanilla and I always ask for hot fudge on the bottom and extra on top. It has to be CHOCOLATY!!! LOL

I worked at our local gas/groc store a few summers back and I used to take the strawberry topping for sundaes and mix it with vanilla for a hurricane and then put hot fudge in the bottom of the paper cup and put in the strawberry hurricane and add more hot fudge on top! Yum!

Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting is my specialty---and here is my recipe. It is the best carrot cake I have EVER eaten!!! The buttermilk glaze absolutely makes the cake!!!

I have used this one and you are right. It IS good!!

Sheila Elaine 02-22-2010 06:59 PM

My blood sugar is spiking from reading this.....but I like the Vanilla bean Breyers, no nothing on it, or Ben & Jerry's diff flavors & they have to have lots of nuts in them.

b.zang 02-22-2010 07:22 PM

Okay, I never thought of butter as an actual flavour, but I'm right there with the butter-lovers. Ah, popcorn and butter.

Do I dare say chocolate cake yuk, angel food cake yum. No icing.

If it's sweet, it's vanilla; but mostly it's salty.

Lisanne 02-22-2010 08:37 PM

Rhonda, that sounds just awesome. I never thought about asking to have the hot fudge put on the bottom as well as the top.

Hm, I guess the thread title did mean ice cream flavors, lol. And I said I'm a butter person, but I don't like butter ice creams all that much. Ice cream has to be chocolate or strawberry. Haagen Dazs chocolate is my favorite (or their chocolate chocolate chip, or their chocolate peanut butter). I don't really like their strawberry, though. Chocolate marshmallow is a long-time favorite flavor when at an ice cream parlor, with strawberry a close second.

tigger5464 02-22-2010 09:13 PM

I wish that I could eat ice cream...lactose intolerant here. :( But does anyone remember Bordens Ice cream? (Elsie the cow brand) I loved their vanilla :D If I eat chocolate, I want a wacky cake. It has to have home made chocolate frosting too. (The wacky cake has no eggs or milk in it.) But it does have chocolate and wow is it moist. MMMMMMM (making myself hungry now. LOL)

Honey 02-22-2010 10:15 PM

Ice cream, vanilla. Cake, carrot cake, pudding, banana or lemon. (cooked, not instant). Candy, chocolate. Pie, raspberry. But my very favorite thing is raspberry cobbler with lots of REAL whipped cream!

bob1414 02-23-2010 04:46 PM

If you're talking ice cream, Kahlua Amaretto Almondine was my favorite but it's been years since I've been able to find it. Yummy!!!

LogCabinLady 02-23-2010 05:32 PM

Anything as long as it has lots of nuts.

JanetM 02-23-2010 05:57 PM

Cafe Mocha's, caramel, dark chocolate :P

I once heard: Chocolate comes from the cocoa bean, a bean is a vegetable, therefore chocolate is a vegetable :-D :-D :-D

Catlady 02-24-2010 04:21 PM

breyers french vanilla ice cream with sliced strawberries
and chocolate syrup drizzled over the whole thing. YUM!
Yorks peppermint patties, devils food cake with chocolate
or fudge frosting, Dove chocolates with almonds, Hersheys
kisses, my banana bread, and lest we forget, CHOCOLATE!!

yourstrulyquilts 02-24-2010 04:30 PM

Mmmmmm.... I'm hungry just thinkin' about it!
