A LQS here does a 12 Days of Christmas sale every year starting right after Thanksgiving. Each day they email with several items well below regular price and will fill a gift bag with any items I want, giftwrapped too. Then, someone (my DH) can just go to the store and pick up the gift bag when the 12 days are done. I love it!! Got a nice full gift bag coming this year and since I can't remember what all I ordered there will be a surprises.

Many years ago I found wonderful prices for underwear so stocked up for DH and I, didn't wrap them or anything. Then we bought new coats another year, and now we wait for the great sales. The other day I thought to myself if I could only buy my fabric at Christmas, how much money I could save with all the deals ? I finally stopped clicking on the sites as I have spent way too much already on fabric recently.

I do that all the time. That way I get things I need and haven't wasted time or money or have things around the house I will never use. My DH actually appreciates this. I never get slippers that don't fit or dreaded blue towels for a house with no blue.:D

Merry Christmas to a very happy shopper.
peace

I bought myself a BIG present this year. A new home! I moved in a couple of weeks ago - - - still unpacking boxes and enjoying every minute of it. I bought new shelving and a new cutting table for my sewing room as well as a new sewing table/desk. I'm still arranging things in my sewing room. What fun!

Great post! I enjoyed reading all of these. Lots of fun things & ways of doing them makes it even more fun. They are all ways of getting the things you really want & need for your hobby or just personal things. I applaud all of you! lol

I did not buy anything for myself this year....however my two wonderful cats did gift me with a number of beautiful items!

I have been wondering all week if I'm the only one who
buys many sale items for herself while Christmas shopping. Most everything in our largest department store this week has been 50 - 70% off. Good damage was done! An example was a beautiful etched sterling silver bracelet for $30 (normally $100).

Sounds like a good thing to me. Sewing rooms deserve great Christmas gifts.
