Looking for a good cleaning agent that will get the grease off of the back splash and wall by my stove.

ammonia - if you can stand the smell and fumes.

I use softscrub for most of my cleaning. I use it on my laminate counter tops as well as my ceramic tile backsplash. Also bathtub as the manufacturer recommended nothing more abrasive than that. Use a rag vs a sponge though when using. Sponge really holds the suds well when trying to rinse the surface. A rag rinses much cleaner, thus the wiping of excess/residue of the softscrub is easier with a rag.

Windex works great. Like NJ Quilter stated use a rag. I spilled some Windex on my floor the other day and it cleaned up that area like nobody's business. I have a refill bottle so I just dumped some all over the floor and it was the nicest I have ever seen my kitchen floor. Brought the shine back!

Have you tried those Clorox wipes? My daughter uses them all the time and swears by them. I use a mixture of vinegar, water, baking soda and that cleans up a lot of stuff.

Liquid comet in a spray bottle

For the icky greasy feel I use baking soda and water paste. It works great if it's real bad a few drops of dawn dish soap in the paste helps too. I also use it on my Tupperware that gets that feeling that you can't wash off and on the build up that you get on anything around the stove and the exhaust fan. Make a waterish paste rub it on leave it on for a few minutes and rinse clean. It also works on laminate and butcher block.

Yes, the clorox wipes work. Or 409 cleaner works good.

I use Clorox wipes for almost everything.

mix vinegar, baking soda and some dawn dishwashing liquid and put it in a spray bottle. Works on everything in the kitchen and bathroom.
