Bigbrownowl, How long was the opening and closing ceremonies? I wasn't aware that any of it was cut here in the U.S.

I wonder if maybe since most of the Olympians are less than 30 years old, that they have a tendency to gear it in that direction. Visually I thought it was not bad, but as for the sound, as one person said, it seemed to be a rock concert.

As to the events themselves, it seemed like NBC showed an awful lot of volleyball, and not much diving.
