Since my "baby" turned forty this year, the reason I made them was at that time disposable diapers were still pretty awful, no elastic at the legs,paper tapes, and they only made them in about three sizes. Cloth diapers fit no matter how small they started in them, and no matter big they got. She did have the brightest little bottom in town since back them most flannel was either white, or very bright/lively prints.
