I live in the LA area of California. You may not realize that this term encompases many many many miles. I'm still technically in LA County, even though it takes me more than an hour to actually get to the city.

"The business" here is anything entertainment related. So yeah, please don't ask me about "the business." I'm not in it, nor do I want to be.

We do actually have a winter in my area. It's called the rainy season, LOL.

Michigan is not Detroit! detroit is simply a little city in a little south east corner of the state.
we have 4 seasons. not everyone who lives north of Detroit is carrying guns and militia membership cards :)

Yes!! LOL My co-worker & I discuss this frequently. Anyone from her tiny town that's interviewed is missing teeth.

Michigan does not equal Detroit! The Great Lakes really are as large as some oceans. You really cannot see across to the other side of Lake Michigan from here.

Arizona isn't all desert. We have some beautiful mountain areas. Today's temp is about 108. But remember it's a dry heat. Some parts of the country suffer when it is 90 degrees with the excessive humidity. Our 100 is very tolerable. Just drink plenty of liquids.

I've been in the U.P. of Michigan (upper peninsula) for 2 years now and pretty much everything you hear is true! LOL LOTS of flannel shirts and jeans, (the lumberjack look must have got it's start here!), people really do say, "ay?" at the end of their sentences, they refer to themselves as yoopers, and those in lower Michigan are "trolls" (because they live under the bridge). Winters up here are snowy, snowy, snowy and it some places it really does pile up to the roofs. I did hear a story that a man has two front doors, one on the first floor for summer and one on the second floor for winters and I haven't seen that yet. LOL Oh, and every restaurant sells pasties (rhymes with nasty, not paste-ies).

Yep, we do. Almost winter, winter, still winter and construction. LOL. Seriously, Detroit is not representative of the whole state and yes, there is such a place as Kalamazoo.
