Cough mixture
I have just been on main and read thread about a harmful seam ripper. It reminded me I went into holland and Barrett and asked for a cough mixture what tablets did I take, oh you can't have a liquorice one. The one I ended up with was a waste of time. So I went out purchased , lemon, honey sugar oh and whiskey . Mixed all this together with hot water . 24 hours later the cough was gone and I felt fine. Granma certainly knew best.

my mother us on a ton of meds. You look for the one with the heart on it I think it is Coricidin? Black licorice cannot be mixed with warfarin.

The whiskey,water, and honey are the best for a cough. That's what I use. Most cough meds have some alcohol in it anyway. I usually warm it also.

And if it didn't work, you wouldn't care anyway. :D

What a great family recipe. Do you think that substitution for Bourbon instead of whiskey would work???

DottieMo--How much of each, please. My DH has been coughing for 3 weeks and 2 trips to Doc--still coughing. Got it after he got 1/2 flu shot--I know--you don't get it from the shot--Bah to that, too. That's where he got it.

I've been coughing for 2 weeks OTC medicines have been a waste of money. Think I will try your recipe!
