I am considering buying a counter top rotisserie (remember the "set it and forget it"). My friend has one and it cooks wonderful whole chickens. Problem is, I already have lots of things that I thought was a good idea at the time. So...........do any of you have counter top rotisserie ovens? what kind? do you like it? would you recommend my getting one?
Thanks,
Jo Ann

Mine is in the attic. I loved it, but it was a dog to clean.

Mine is a George Forman rotisserie. I love it. I use it every couple of weeks. My main use for it is whole chickens. My family loves them.

I love my "set it and forget it" rotisserie! It is a bit of a bear to clean , but that isn't the mmain problem with it. They are bigger than you would think and take up a lot of counter space. I don't use it enough to justify moving other items (toaster, coffee maker, etc) so min eis usually in my pantry closet. It's a bit heavy too - so unless hubby is around to lift it out for me, whatever I'm cooking just goes in the oven. If you have counter space to give it a permanent home it might be a good item for you.

I bought a large size one, it can bake a turkey or 3 chickens. I have used it a total of 4 times. I should use it more but sometimes it is more work to get it out of the garage (no way it can fit on my counter, I use it outside on the counter to the window) than to just use my oven. The times I have used it, it was too hot to run the oven in the house. This year we never had a summer until this past monday. It's over 90 now.

I had one but never used it. I now use the Nuwave oven and love it I no longer use my oven other than cakes. It cooks a whole frozen turkey in the same time it takes to cook a frozen one!
