Finally answered a Craigslist ad that was worthwhile. There are 53 bundles with four (sort of matching) fabrics each. Each piece of fabric is not necessarily a fat quarter, most are more than a FQ, but less than a yard. Also, a 4½ yard piece, a 2½ yard piece, two one yard pieces of fabric and three panels. The price was $30.00. The lady selling it said 'I could have asked more, but I didn't want to mess with it'. I said 'I was prepared to offer less, but when I saw everything, I'm perfectly happy to give you $30.00 for it'. It's well worth it, IMO.

I look every day. I told my friends that I'm on a 'fabric diet'. After seeing my haul, one of my quilt buddies said 'I thought you were on a fabric diet'? I said 'I got hungry'.

Wow I need to spend more time on Craigslist I never find big finds like that lol, although I'm surprised at how much fabric I've collected since I started coming to this board.

I. too, check every day. I've come across maybe two good deals per year - with nice quality fabrics at good prices. Never know when the deals may pop up - so I keep checking.

Same here. I went through Craiglist, estate sales. If I found anything on Craiglist they wanted way too much (almost the same price they paid for retail). At the estale sale that I went to last Thursday, they had two Singer (threadle) machines with not in too good a shape tables; one of the machines had a broken belt; and they wanted over $ 100.00 for each.
Just have to keep looking, I guess.

I search for 'sewing' and look through those ads and then I change the search to 'quilting'. Good luck.
