CSI Finale

I was disappointed with it.

Anyone else?

Quilty-Louise 09-29-2015 10:16 AM

TOTALLY agree!

Such a let down for an ending.

quiltsRfun 09-29-2015 11:07 AM

I've never watched the show but now I'm curious.

annievee 09-29-2015 12:14 PM

Totally disappointed here.

cathyvv 09-29-2015 12:15 PM

Far fetched, not very well done, but Grissom and Sarah sailed into the sunset together...

Panchita 09-30-2015 02:29 AM

I agree. Grissom's line about 'jumping the shark' summed it up well.

Which is really annoying, because prior to that it was regularly really enjoyable. I wasn't a fan of the Laurence Fishburne era, but Ted Danson et. al. had resurrected it in my opinion.

This finale rather tripped over its own attempts to be smart, and fell into hackneyed. Grissom and Sara sailing off into the sunset... really??

sandy l 09-30-2015 03:08 AM

I use to watch it until Grissom left, lost interest in it, so I really wasn't interested in the final show.

ccthomas 09-30-2015 06:34 AM

Not impressed either.

tessagin 09-30-2015 06:47 AM

DH was so unimpressed and gave me a funny look. I told him as soon as I saw Grissom in the commercials pre-empting for the show, they were going to get back together and go off into the sunset. He liked the show as a filler for whatever else was on Sunday night. He fell asleep, nodding off a lot, then woke up right as she got on the boat. He looked at me and said did you see something on FAcebook that leaked the ending? I jokingly made the comment prior to. My remark was just a hunch. LOL. Anymore if it's a finale, it's usually disappointing.

I am too......

I hated the ending...but I thought the best line was when Grissom asked where the new girl had come from and Catherine replied , "My vagina!" DH and i laughed out loud over that one!

institches33 09-30-2015 08:01 AM

Very uninspired writing. Perhaps the writers had other jobs since the show was ending and didn't give this their all.

When Grissom and Sarah sailed off into the sunset I burst out laughing. Really???? Sailing off into the sunset!

Yes, disappointed here too. And this used to be my all-time favorite TV show. The finale started out good but became predictable all too soon, from the identity of the villain to the final "sunset" scene. Capturing the bad guy seemed contrived and too quick & easy, like the writers didn't know how to end it so just made it quick. I was glad to see Grissom come back, but really missed Nick Stokes!

Quilty-Louise 09-30-2015 11:28 AM

Yeah totally agree that was the best line in the WHOLE 2 (wasted) hours
of the finale.

I wanted Grissom to hook up with Lady Heather.

M cubed 09-30-2015 12:10 PM

I agree that the show was disappointing. After all, Grissom never talked about his feelings much, but at least he did talk - except in this show! Couldn't the writers think of ANYTHING he could say to ANYONE during the show? They should have just stopped, like they did with CSI NY.

Geri B 09-30-2015 01:48 PM

Mixed feelings about the ending..........Ted is going to CSI Cyber...that will be good.....never liked Catherine....maybe Sara and Grissom will be a spin off....like a new gilligans island......it missed the mark! but it made good $$$ for those involved, so now it will be interesting to see where they will appearing in the future...

coopah 09-30-2015 02:21 PM

Going off into the sunset is totally hackneyed. I couldn't believe they did that. No imagination. We are becoming a nation of idiots. IMO

huntannette 09-30-2015 02:53 PM

I think it was better than the ending of "Lost" lol

nancyw 10-01-2015 04:26 AM

It is the last season of CSI. We can only hope the shows get better.

callen 10-01-2015 04:29 AM

I see that Ted Danson is going to be the newest cast member of CSI Cyber. I did enjoy him on the Las Vegas version.

Quilty-Louise 10-01-2015 05:31 AM

My hubs & I TRIED (3 episodes) to watch CSI Cyber, but neither
of us like the lady who plays the leading role.

So we stopped watching.

I am really going to miss watching all my CSI shows (all 3 of the old ones).

I'm a sucker for happy endings. At least it didn't leave us hanging. I liked it.

wendiq 10-01-2015 11:26 AM

Thanks for alerting me to the fact that it is "the finale". I will pay closer attention then......I am afraid, like so many shows, that CSI has run it's course. It was so new and innovative when it began, but now that every other show has more or less copied it, it's old and used. I did like Danson, but once you lose the main characters, it's hard to recover the initial enthusiasm......I've enjoyed it's run, but agree it's time to die......

bearisgray 10-01-2015 11:53 AM

It won't be dead - it will be resurrected in reruns forever and ever.

gramma nancy 10-06-2015 08:10 PM

The thing that confused me is why they ran a series finale at the beginning of a new season. Finales generally are shown at the end of a season. Seemed strange.

That has had me completely confused, too......Perhaps it was a last minute decision in order to keep Danson????
