cutting tools

I am trying to find out if any one knows about the cutter that makes holes in the towel top so one could crochet it on a towel. I thought there was such a blade or cutter to do that but cannot remember what the name of it is or if it is still made. I would appreciate it a lot if someone knew I would like to get one for my friend as a gift.
Thanks Pickle

Are you talking about a grommet? you can get those anywhere, any craft store. Or maybe exacto knife?

I think you want a skip cut blade. http://www.nancysnotions.com/product...utter+blade.do

Here's one on Amazon, too:

It works well on fleece also. Crochet a border around the fleece, makes a nice baby gift. I got mine through project Linus.

You might want to read the reviews on those blades, before ordering one. Sounds as if many people are pretty disappointed in them.

I have one and it pokes the holes just fine. It took practice, you don't cut like it was a regular blade, no angle on the edge worked for me. I doubt someone could get perfect cuts on the first try.

If you cut your threads the terry is on it will fray out faster with washing.

I use a very small punch made for scrapbooking. It makes a tiny hole and you c an see exactly where you are placing the hole You can find in hobby lobby Miachels or any scrap store
