My youngest daughter is flying home tonight to attend a family friends wedding tomorrow. I haven't seen her for 1 1/2 years and am sooooo excited. She and her family will be moving back at the end of the month as her husband has been relocated back to the Pacific NorthWest. Just Mom and daughter time this weekend and I'm so excited.

I feel so lucky that my daughter lives closer and I get to see her about once a month or so. I don't know how I'd handle her being gone that long.

So glad you'll have some Mom-Daughter time together. I'm lucky to have my daughter nearby now, but she lived several hundred miles away for several years, even spent 5 years in Germany. That was before computers, e-mail and such. We had snail mail, and calls to and from Germany were very expensive. I hated having her so far away.

Glad to hear that she's moving back. I'm a military mom and the worst part (since mine are not near combat) is the long periods of time that I don't get to see them.... Regardless of age, kids need to live close enough to their folks to see them pretty often! :)

Enjoy-my daughter lives in Florida with my precious grand daughter-We just got back from there celebrating her 1st b-day. I totally understand-I miss them all the time. She is the first one in our extended family to move out of Pa and it is sooo hard not to be able to go see her when I want to.
