they were pretty much all felt as far as i know...and there was no washable felt in the 50s and 60s...

I did not have the 'poodle skirt' but made a similar skirt from panels you cut out - gray with pink kitties. Had the layered
petticoat but made a nylon pink ruffled petticoat to go over the white netted one! What was I thinking??

Mine was gray with a white poodle, miss that skirt, wonder what happened to it?

Didn't have one, but sewed one in the 90's for my daughter to wear to 50's day. Made it pink with a grey poodle. Wish I had remembered to take pictures!
