I like FB because I've been able to find so many old classmates even from elementary school. I've become closer to some of them now than we were in school. I don't spend a lot of time on it though - mostly here and quilting OH and working. lol

I am totally in the majority here and that is ok.

I think of Facebook and Twitter as the devils work where people can say and do as they please about one another. To me it is like soap operas - worthless.

People are opening up their lives to god knows who and think nothing of it.

For heavens sake, why would you post you are leaving your house?

That can be avoided if you pay attention to how you set up your page and make sure that only friends can see your pages.

I have a Facebook account, but mostly to see photos of friends vacations and get-togethers in far away places.
I am like the rest....I have WAY too many other interesting things to do to bother with who ate what or went to Walmart.
I seldom post anything besides pictures of a finished artwork or craft project. And to post where one is going is inviting trouble. Most of my life would probably be considered boring, and the rest would be nobody's business.
Only my cat knows if I use Charmin.......and since she is not above shredding a roll now and then........I can't see how anyone else would be interested in that, either.

I don't put that kind of information on my facebook pages either. I use it once in awhile to talk to children and grandkids. I have some sewing friends on there and that is about it. If I want to talk about personal things I call them.

I use FB bc all of my family are out of state. It's fun just to get one sentence from them. I have reconnected with some of my class mates, also out of state. Like anything internet connected you have to be careful about the info you give out.

There is also a Facebook "game" that asks your Mother's middle name, etc. Excuse me, not in this lifetime. It boggles the mind why people give out scores of personal info.

You are right about FB and Twitter, who do you think owns FB anyway...........and once you sign up did you know they monitor your email account? If you think I am wrong the ask yourself this, why did your contact list get sent out to befriend them when it was not prompted by you?!?

I'm glad that I'm not the only that thinks this way ! I think my nieces [ all in mid 30's ] list juvenile things . Farmville , yoville and on and on . I thought it would be a neat way of connecting since we all live so far apart . We are all scattered ! I am seriously considering cancelling my acct !
My nieces even have their emails and home addresses listed for everybody to see . Some even their phone numbers [ can you spell S-T-U-P-I-D ? I joined to find quilting and sewing groups and am sadly disappointed . Annie

I have a facebook account also..and only allow people I know as friends. I think most of the time people post some of the most useless information. One friend spent 2 months talking about when her dog went out to do its business...gezzzz..get a life. She needs a hobby..lol
