I used to, but realized there's nothing I can say that hasn't already been said.Now I don't post when the thread is above a certain number.

Doesn't mean I don't love seeing the beautiful quilts...or trying to help when it's asked for.Maybe I just get on line too late in the day.

heheheh.. I do that too.. I just know I have to at least do 2 post per day to keep my status as "regular here"

I agree. When someone posts an amazing quilt, and there's already 4 or 5 pages of everyone describing how wonderful it is, I usually can't think of anything new to say.

Also, I probably also don't want to become an over-poster. I have a few of these on facebook. They just HAVE to respond to everything. Fortunately, that doesn't seem like an issue here. I've never noticed anyone monopolizing the responses.

Sometimes but if in the first page or 2 my response is what others have already said, I probably won't post.

Sometimes, I'll check the person's posts who originally posted to the thread and see what else they've said. Sometimes the OP has already found an answer and asked a different one by page 5 and page 6-15 are still answering her first question.

If the topic is such that I really feel I want my input added I do no matter how many pages it is. If it is a picture of a quilt that truly takes my breath away and I absolutely love I will also post. I don't care if the topic is 20 pages long. Just because you have nothing to add that is unique or different doesn't mean your comment isn't truly appreciated by the OP. I know I truly appreciate every comment made on one of my topics. I have never had one go more than 10 pages but if I did I would be thrilled! Wouldn't YOU be thrilled if you posted a picture of a quilt you did that got 20 pages of responses, even if they all said "wonderful", "beautiful", etc?? Rather than thinking you don't have anything to say that hasn't already been said, or you are just trying to keep your minimum post activity up to keep your status (a poor reason to participate IMHO) why don't you think about how thrilled the OP will be with all of the comments?

I don't post on every single quilt I see. I pretty much only do it on ones that move me in some way.

There is no way to add something to every post no matter how long or short. I post to those that strike me at the moment.

There are many many beautiful quilts here and I love looking at them all.:) Gives me much inspiration.

If I see a photo and think the quilt is totally awesome, I post and say so, because I would definitely want someone to do that for my quilt! Doesn't matter how long the thread is. Also, on topics where someone is looking for info on how to do a particular technique or whatever, I post my opinion because even if it's repetitive, someone might see mine and not read the other posts, and get a helpful tip.

I feel the same way ---I always am concerned if I say Thank you enough when I do A post. Try to post ever so often threw out the post with TY .

I agree with Feline Fanatic. I recently recieved 21 pages of comments on my new sewing room and I loved reading every one of the 309 posts.

Is it ironic that I read through the comments and then thought I didn't have much to add to what everybody has already said so I wasn't going to bother to post :)
If that didnt answer your question, yes I do lol. After about 5 pages I usually don't reply unless I absolutely loved it. But I agree that I think it's nice to reply regardless, as I know I would love people to reply even if there were already 20 pages.
